The Museum’s open air sculpture park, is not meant to be experienced by visitors as a static exhibition area which is usually the norm, Visitors will have their environmental awareness raised not as an abstract notion which can be of little interest, but by seeing how art can be integrated into their daily lives by experiencing something which is rarely seen in cities such as Nicosia, the combining of two distinct elements the natural environment and works of art.
The sculptures and the relationships between them, lead the visitor to explore the park observing the relationship between the works of art and the impact of nature on their materials which include marble, glass, iron, cement, bronze, wax, and metals. Their shapes, size and volumes are seen to coexist with the natural elements in an interlocking relationship allowing the visitor to come into direct contact with nature and works of art that are experientially and sometimes physically linked together and appreciated as one.
